Shortly after saying this, the Mexican president came out and said that he lied and that she did not say anything about shutting down the border, but that they did have a productive conversation. The current governor Vetoed the bill but the republicans had enough votes to overturn his veto. The bill makes it where any position that the incoming governor wants to fill, he has to fill it based on a list provided exclusively from the Republicans.
